Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Allure Dental (“Allure Dental”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Allure Dental website located at https://alluredental.ca/ (the “Website”) and your interaction with our dental practice and services.

By accessing our Website, submitting an online enquiry, requesting an appointment, communicating with our team, or receiving dental services from Allure Dental, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.

These Terms are intended to establish a clear understanding between Allure Dental and patients or other users of our Website concerning the use of our online resources, appointment services, dental information, communications, and professional services.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should discontinue use of the Website and refrain from using any online service provided through the Website.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and any other patient forms, treatment consents, financial arrangements, appointment policies, or other documents that may apply to particular services.

We may amend these Terms periodically to reflect changes to our services, Website, business practices, or applicable legal and regulatory requirements. Any revised version will be published on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Website or our services after an updated version has been posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Allure Dental Website or engaging our dental services, you confirm that you have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms or that you are accessing the Website or arranging services on behalf of a patient for whom you are legally authorized to act.

These Terms apply to Website visitors, prospective patients, existing patients, parents or legal guardians arranging care for minors, and other individuals who interact with Allure Dental through the Website or practice.

Certain services may be subject to additional documentation or agreements. For example, before undertaking particular dental procedures, you may be asked to review and sign a treatment consent form, medical history form, financial agreement, estimate, or other patient documentation. Such documents may contain additional terms relevant to the treatment or transaction and should be read carefully before signing.

Where there is a conflict between these general Website Terms and a specific written agreement relating to your dental treatment, the terms of the specific agreement may apply to the extent of that conflict.

Allure Dental reserves the right to restrict or refuse access to the Website where reasonably necessary to protect the Website, our practice, our patients, our personnel, or our legitimate business interests.

2. Dental Services

Allure Dental is a dental practice serving patients in Ajax and surrounding communities in Ontario. Our current Website describes services including preventive dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, dental implants, children’s dentistry, root canal treatment and Invisalign, among other dental services.

The services described on our Website are provided for general informational purposes. The availability and suitability of any particular treatment will depend on an individual patient’s oral health, medical history, clinical findings, treatment objectives, practitioner assessment, and other relevant circumstances.

Information displayed on the Website does not constitute a diagnosis, treatment recommendation, or personalized dental advice.

A description of a procedure or treatment on our Website should not be interpreted as confirmation that the treatment is appropriate for you or that it will be provided without a clinical assessment.

Before recommending or undertaking treatment, our dental professionals may need to conduct an examination, obtain diagnostic information, review your medical and dental history, discuss treatment alternatives, and explain relevant risks and benefits.

Treatment decisions remain subject to professional clinical judgment.

3. Website Information and Dental Disclaimer

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on the Website is accurate, understandable, and current. However, dental information, treatment approaches, technologies, fees, availability, and clinical practices may change over time.

Accordingly, we do not warrant that every item of information on the Website will always be complete, current, error-free, or applicable to your particular circumstances.

The Website is intended to provide general educational and practice information. It should not be used as a substitute for an examination, diagnosis, consultation, or treatment provided by a qualified dental professional.

You should not delay seeking professional dental care because of information you have read on our Website.

If you are experiencing severe dental pain, significant swelling, facial trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing, or another potentially serious condition, you should seek appropriate urgent or emergency medical attention.

4. No Guarantee of Treatment Outcomes

Dental treatment outcomes differ from patient to patient. Factors including oral health, underlying medical conditions, treatment complexity, healing response, oral hygiene, lifestyle factors, compliance with post-treatment instructions, and attendance at recommended follow-up appointments may affect treatment outcomes.

Although our dental professionals aim to provide appropriate, high-quality care and to achieve the agreed clinical objectives, we cannot guarantee a particular cosmetic, functional, orthodontic, restorative, or other treatment outcome.

Information presented through testimonials, reviews, photographs, case examples, before-and-after images, or other patient experiences is provided for illustrative purposes. Individual experiences and treatment outcomes may vary and should not be interpreted as a promise or representation that another patient will achieve the same result.

Where a particular treatment requires multiple stages, your dentist will discuss the proposed treatment approach and relevant considerations with you before proceeding.

5. Professional Dental Care

Dental services provided by Allure Dental are delivered by appropriately qualified dental professionals in accordance with applicable professional, ethical, clinical, and regulatory requirements.

Treatment recommendations are based on the patient’s individual circumstances and the professional judgment of the treating dental practitioner.

Nothing contained on this Website is intended to interfere with or replace the professional judgment of a dentist.

Patients are encouraged to ask questions about proposed treatment, available alternatives, potential risks, expected benefits, costs, aftercare requirements, and any other matter they consider relevant before consenting to treatment.

6. Appointments and Online Booking

Allure Dental may provide appointment requests or online booking functionality through the Website or third-party booking systems.

Submitting an appointment request does not necessarily constitute confirmation of an appointment. Appointment availability is subject to the clinic’s operating schedule, practitioner availability, appointment type, and other scheduling considerations.

Where applicable, the practice may confirm an appointment by telephone, email, SMS, or through an online booking platform.

When requesting or booking an appointment, you agree to provide accurate and current information, including your name, contact details, appointment requirements, and any information reasonably requested by the practice.

You are responsible for ensuring that your contact information remains current so that we can communicate appointment confirmations, reminders, changes, or other relevant information.

7. Patient Responsibilities

Patients play an important role in the safe and effective delivery of dental care.

You agree to provide information that is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge, particularly information that may affect the safety or suitability of dental treatment.

This may include information concerning:

  • Existing dental conditions and previous dental treatment
  • Current medications and relevant medical conditions
  • Allergies or known sensitivities
  • Previous adverse reactions to medication, anesthesia, or dental treatment
  • Pregnancy or other circumstances relevant to treatment
  • Changes to your health or medication following a previous appointment

You should promptly notify our dental team if there has been a significant change in your medical or dental circumstances.

You are also responsible for following reasonable pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions provided by your dental practitioner and attending recommended follow-up appointments.

Failure to provide relevant information or failure to follow clinical instructions may affect treatment planning, outcomes, or the management of potential complications.

8. Fees, Estimates and Payment

Dental fees may vary depending on the nature and complexity of treatment, materials required, laboratory charges, diagnostic requirements, appointment duration, and other clinical considerations.

Where practicable, estimated fees or treatment costs will be discussed with you before treatment proceeds. An estimate is not necessarily a fixed price unless expressly identified as such in writing.

Additional treatment or unforeseen clinical requirements may result in additional charges. Where reasonably practicable, we will discuss significant changes in treatment scope or anticipated costs with you before proceeding.

Payment arrangements may vary depending on the service provided and the circumstances of the patient.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment for dental services may be due at or around the time services are provided.

Patients remain responsible for fees associated with treatment provided to them, subject to any applicable insurance, benefits, payment arrangements, or other written agreement.

9. Dental Insurance and Direct Billing

Where applicable, Allure Dental may assist patients with insurance or benefit claims, including direct billing arrangements.

Any insurance or benefit information provided by us is general or administrative in nature and should not be treated as a guarantee that a particular treatment will be covered or reimbursed.

Coverage depends on the terms of your individual insurance policy, benefit plan, eligibility, annual limits, deductibles, exclusions, waiting periods, and other conditions imposed by your insurer or plan administrator.

You remain responsible for understanding your coverage and for any balance that is not paid by your insurance provider.

Allure Dental cannot guarantee the amount that an insurer or benefits provider will reimburse for a particular procedure.

10. Payment Plans and Financial Arrangements

Where payment plans or financing arrangements are made available, additional terms may apply.

If a third-party financing provider is involved, the financing arrangement is between you and that provider. Allure Dental is not responsible for the provider’s approval criteria, interest rates, fees, repayment requirements, or other contractual conditions.

Patients should review all financing documentation carefully before entering into a financial arrangement.

Nothing on the Website constitutes financial advice or a recommendation to enter into a particular financing arrangement.

11. Appointment Cancellations and Rescheduling

We understand that circumstances can change and that patients may occasionally need to cancel or reschedule appointments.

If you need to change an appointment, please contact Allure Dental as early as possible. The Website currently requests that patients provide at least 24 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling an appointment.

Providing appropriate notice allows the practice to manage clinical schedules effectively and may allow another patient to use the appointment time.

Repeated late cancellations, missed appointments, or failure to attend scheduled appointments may affect future booking arrangements. Where applicable, cancellation or missed-appointment fees may apply in accordance with the practice’s current appointment policy and any terms communicated to you at the time of booking.

Any applicable fee will be subject to the circumstances of the appointment and applicable law.

If you are unable to attend because of an unexpected emergency or other exceptional circumstance, we encourage you to contact the practice as soon as reasonably possible so that the circumstances can be considered.

12. Refunds and Treatment Concerns

Allure Dental aims to provide dental services with appropriate professional care and skill.

Where you have concerns about treatment, fees, communication, or your experience at the practice, you should contact us so that we have an opportunity to understand and address your concerns.

A refund is not automatically available simply because a patient changes their mind after a service has been provided. However, nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or restrict any rights or remedies available to you under applicable Canadian consumer protection legislation or other applicable law.

Where a service has not been provided, any refund or cancellation arrangements will depend on the circumstances, payment terms, applicable practice policies, and applicable law.

Where a clinical concern arises following treatment, our dental team may need to assess the patient before determining an appropriate course of action.

13. Intellectual Property

All content appearing on the Website, including text, photographs, graphics, logos, illustrations, videos, page designs, layout, icons, trademarks, service marks, and other materials, is owned by Allure Dental or used with permission from the relevant rights holder.

Such content may be protected by Canadian and other applicable intellectual property laws.

You may access the Website and use its content for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not, without our prior written permission:

  • Reproduce substantial portions of Website content;

  • Use automated systems to systematically scrape or reproduce Website content.

Unauthorized use of Website materials may infringe our intellectual property rights and may result in appropriate legal action.

14. Patient Reviews, Testimonials and Submissions

Where patients voluntarily submit reviews, testimonials, comments, photographs, or other material for publication or use by Allure Dental, you represent that you have the necessary authority to provide that material.

We may use approved testimonials or other submitted content for legitimate practice communication and marketing purposes in accordance with applicable privacy and consent requirements.

Patient information, photographs, clinical images, or other identifiable health information will not be publicly used without the appropriate consent or other lawful basis.

Reviews appearing on third-party platforms, including Google or other review services, are subject to the terms and policies of those platforms.

15. Website Availability and Technical Information

We aim to keep the Website available and functioning effectively; however, continuous or uninterrupted access cannot be guaranteed.

The Website may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, hosting issues, technical problems, cybersecurity incidents, telecommunications failures, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We do not warrant that the Website will always be free from errors, defects, viruses, malicious code, or other harmful components.

You are responsible for maintaining appropriate security measures on the device and network you use to access the Website.

16. Third-Party Websites and Services

The Website may contain links to websites, booking platforms, payment services, social media platforms, healthcare resources, or other third-party services.

These links are provided for convenience and informational purposes.

Allure Dental does not control third-party websites and does not necessarily endorse their content, products, services, policies, or practices.

Your use of a third-party website is governed by that provider’s own terms and privacy policy.

We are not responsible for losses, privacy practices, security issues, content, or transactions arising from your use of third-party websites or services.

17. Privacy and Personal Information

Allure Dental recognizes the importance of protecting information relating to patients and Website users.

Information submitted through our Website may include contact information and, depending on the purpose of the enquiry, information relating to dental concerns or health history. The Website’s appointment form currently allows users to provide information concerning dental concerns, dental history, and questions for discussion with a dentist.

Personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy legislation.
We may collect and use personal information for purposes including appointment administration, responding to enquiries, providing dental care, communicating with patients, processing payments, maintaining records, and meeting legal or professional obligations.

For further information about how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, retained, and protected, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

18. Medical and Dental Emergency Disclaimer

Information available on the Website should not be relied upon as emergency medical or dental advice.

Allure Dental does provide emergency dental appointments for urgent dental concerns such as tooth pain, trauma, or infection, subject to appointment availability and clinical assessment.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, difficulty breathing, significant facial trauma, uncontrolled bleeding, loss of consciousness, or another condition requiring immediate emergency medical attention, contact 911 or attend the nearest emergency department.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Allure Dental will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or economic loss arising from your access to or use of the Website.

This may include loss resulting from interruption of Website access, reliance on general Website information, technical failures, third-party websites, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any liability, guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified under applicable Canadian law.

In relation to dental services, clinical outcomes may vary according to individual patient circumstances. Our dental professionals will provide care in accordance with applicable professional standards and requirements.

Nothing in these Terms limits a patient’s rights in relation to professional negligence, applicable statutory rights, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.

20. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Allure Dental, its owners, dental professionals, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the Website, your breach of these Terms, or your unauthorized use of Website content.

This provision does not apply to the extent that a claim results from negligence, wilful misconduct, or another liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

21. Changes to Website and Services

Allure Dental may modify, update, suspend, discontinue, or replace portions of the Website or any online feature at any time.

We may also change the services described on the Website, treatment information, operating arrangements, appointment systems, or other Website content without advance notice.

We do not guarantee that every service displayed on the Website will remain available at all times.

Clinical treatment recommendations and availability are determined on an individual patient basis following appropriate assessment.

22. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Any dispute arising from your use of the Website or your relationship with Allure Dental will be subject to the applicable laws and jurisdiction of Ontario, Canada, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Nothing in this section prevents a consumer from exercising a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be restricted by an agreement concerning jurisdiction.

23. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision will be interpreted or modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable where legally permissible.

If it cannot be made enforceable, it will be severed from these Terms without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.

The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

24. No Waiver

A failure or delay by Allure Dental to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce that provision or any other provision at a later time.

Any waiver must be expressly provided by Allure Dental and will apply only to the specific circumstance for which it was given.

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any applicable treatment consent forms, financial arrangements, appointment policies, or other written agreements provided to you by Allure Dental, constitute the applicable terms governing your use of our Website and relationship with the practice.
